softpedia driversHow do I make my laptop w/ windows 7 recognize my Samsung Galaxy S? Installing proper drivers..?

I tried Kies but that didn't work. I want to just be able to attach it to the charging usb and see it as a driver on my computer. I downloaded this: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOBILES/Samsung/Samsung-Galaxy-S-USB-Driver-for-Windows-x64.shtml but I don't know what to do with it.
I have a Samsung Nexus S which is that Google collaboration; all I do is plug it directly into the front USB ports on my desktosoftpedia driversp PC and the Windows 7 Professional 64-bit version picks it up straight away.

I'm using Android 2.3.6 which was the last recent update for Gingerbread approximately a week ago and I just plug and play literally and on my phone I just choose to press on the screen either in USB Storage mode or just let it charge.

If it doesn't work, you might need to go to Samsung and look for a Windows 7 driver and/or a Sasoftpedia driversmsung Suite to allow it to transfer files and various other Galaxy related model series.

After having a quick look at the Kies software suite, it does apparently have an issue.... hmm.
Samsung phones and 64 bit Windows don't go on well together. If it's essential for you to connect the phone to your PC, I'd suggest wiping your HD and installing 32 bit Windows.
